Climate Resilience Participatory
Project Design and Funding

Honduras is one of the countries most impacted by climate change, facing severe threats from hurricanes and other climate-related disasters. To help farmers and rural communities adapt, CASM and Church World Services contracted Earth Empower to plan and propose a project aimed at increasing resilience 

 

Our team led the proposal design, developed the full proposal, created a detailed concept note, a full proposal, and the necessary project annexes, and organized and led a series of participatory design workshops that involved diverse stakeholders, ensuring that their ideas and needs were included in the project design.

 

Thanks to our efforts, the project secured over $7,000,000 in funding from USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance funding opportunity for Climate Smart and Disaster Ready projects. The project began in 2024, bringing much-needed support to communities in Honduras.
