Research & Drafting Proposal for the Adaptation Fund
Honduras
CASM
The CASM project aims to empower local communities, improve access to climate information, and strengthen food security and livelihoods. It focuses on participatory decision-making and sustainable agricultural practices to boost community resilience. It focuses on two regions in Honduras: the mountainous area of Santa Bárbara and the sub-basin of Lake Yojoa. It addresses the high vulnerability of these areas to climate change, and the primary goals are to improve governance, adaptability, and resilience to climate variability, promote participatory territorial planning, support climate-smart and diversified agri-food systems, and enhance knowledge and understanding of climate variability and adaptation processes.

EarthEmpower team prepared gender, socioeconomic, and risk analysis study tools to research the field thoroughly, as in other sources. A field team was trained to conduct interviews and focus groups in data collection methods. We gathered and analyzed the data collected by field and desk to prepare study information for the proposal.
